SFIO probing Sahara group companies New Delhi. Sahara India group companies are being probed by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO). The agency has not yet moved any application for attachment of properties in the matter. This was given by Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in a written reply in the Lok Sabha on Monday. He said the ministry had on October 31, 2018 referred the information given by Finance Minister Sitharaman in the Lok Sabha to the SFIO in the cases of Sahara Q Shop Unique Products Range Limited (SQSUPRL), Sahara Q Gold Mart Limited and Housing Investment Corporation Limited to the SFIO. On October 27, 2020, the ministry had also handed over the probe into the affairs of the group and companies on the agency's request.
