 Golconda Fort is one of the places to visit in the western part of the city.  It is not only a tourist attraction, but an example of fine architecture.  Golconda, one of the oldest and most famous forts in India, was first established around 1143 AD under the Kakatiya dynasty.  Built on top of a granite hill by the Kakatiya rulers, this fort witnessed the rise and fall of many other dynasties.  The Golconda fort is about 400 feet in structure and is now a major attraction among travelers, historians, and the common man.  Golconda Fort is also known as Shepherd Hill.  One of the wonders of the history of Hyderabad, this fort is still well known for its incredible acoustic effects.

 1.2 Charminar Attractions in Hyderabad - Charminar Hyderabad Me Ghumne Ki Jagah In Hindi



 One of the most beautiful structures in India is the Charminar of Hyderabad.  If you have not visited Charminar after visiting Hyderabad, then your journey is incomplete.  It is a monument and mosque, built by Qutub Shah in 1591 AD for the eradication of the plague, for which he prayed at the same place and vowed to build a mosque there.  The structure is located around the Mecca Masjid and the famous Lad Bazar.  The Charminar structure is built in Indo.  Four gateways with Islamic-style architecture are on the banks of the Musee River which was once marked as the city center.

 Sri Jagannath Temple is a big temple to visit temples in Hyderabad.  This temple is a modern temple built by the Oriya community.  The magnificent temple has been constructed with an attractive shikhara measuring 70 feet in height and the temple is known for its annual Rath Yatra.

 The Birla Temple is one of the most important Hindu temples in Hyderabad and is frequently visited by pilgrims throughout the year.  Built by Swami Ranganathananda of the Ramakrishna Mission, the Birla Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.  Built of pure white marble, the Birla Mandir is a hill temple depicting Dravidian, Rajasthani and Utkal architecture on a 280 feet high hill.  The construction work started by the Birla Foundation in 1966 took almost 10 years to complete.  One of the auspicious places for Hindus to visit Hyderabad, this grand temple has temples of Lord Venkateswara along with Shiva, Shakti, Ganesh, Hanuman and Brahma.

 Hussain Sagar is one of the largest man-made lakes in India.  A large deep lake spanning about 6 km was built on the Musi River in 1562.  In 1992, an 18 meter high monolithic structure of Gautama Buddha was built in the middle of the lake.  The place has since become a popular local hangout spot in Hyderabad.  Hussain Sagar is the best place to spend time with family in Hyderabad.  Boating and water sports around the lake and Lumbini Park, an amusement park are its main attractions.

 1.7 Hyderabad tourist places Mecca Masjid - Mecca Masjid Hyderabad Tourist Places in Hindi


 The largest mosque in India and the oldest mosque in Hyderabad, Mecca Masjid is also considered one of the holiest sites of Islamic faith.  This 400 year old monument was built by the soil purchased from Mecca by Mohammad Quli Qutb Shah, hence the name of this mosque is Mecca Masjid.

 The most sacred shrine of Islam is the Mecca Masjid.  It was the structure whose center was formed during the reign of Hyderabad.

 1.8 Salarjung Museum in Hyderabad - Salar Jung Museum Hyderabad


 Located at the prime site of the old Hyderabad city, Salar Jung is the third largest national museum in India.  It is one of the major museums in India, with 38 galleries spread over three buildings.  It has the largest collection of antiques in the world.  Nawab Mir Yusuf Ali Khan Salar Jung III, former Prime Minister of the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad, spent a large part of his income for the acquisition of priceless antiques for over 35 years.

 Here you can see artefacts displaying human development from the 2nd century BC to the 20th century AD.  Some of its displays include Aurangzeb's sword, Tipu Sultan's wardrobe, many different handwritten copies of the Quran, furniture, paintings, sculptures from Egypt, etc. form a large part of the collection.  Certainly the Salar Jung Museum is the most important monument in Hyderabad for museum lovers.

 The most authentic Qutub Shahi mausoleum of Persian, Hindu and Pathan architectural designs was built by the rulers themselves.  The tombs are dedicated to the seven Qutb Shahi kings who ruled Golconda for more than 170 years.
